Eye Doctors in Niagara Falls

Fichte, Endl & Elmer give the Niagara Falls and surrounding New York areas premier eye care services. Whether you are visiting our eye doctors for a simple checkup, or if you would like to learn more about advanced LASIK procedures, we have the right team for you. Our full list of eye care services includes:

  • LASIK Eye Surgery – LASIK eye surgery is a popular refractive surgery technique that utilizes a laser to reshape the cornea, correcting vision issues such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. This outpatient procedure is known for its effectiveness in providing long-lasting vision correction, often reducing or eliminating the need for glasses or contact lenses for many patients.
  • Cataract Surgery – Cataract surgery is a frequently performed intervention aimed at addressing cataracts, which involve the clouding of the eye’s lens and consequent vision deterioration. This procedure entails the extraction of the cloudy lens and substitution with an artificial intraocular lens, ultimately restoring clear vision. It’s known for its efficiency, often completed as an outpatient procedure with minimal discomfort and yielding a high rate of vision improvement.
  • Corneal Surgeries – Corneal surgeries involve a range of procedures designed to address conditions impacting the cornea, such as dystrophies, infections, or injuries. Our available corneal surgeries includes interventions like corneal transplants, minimally invasive treatments for keratoconus, and other specialized techniques aimed at restoring corneal health and vision.
  • Cosmetic Eye Procedures – Cosmetic procedures offer a diverse range of both surgical and non-surgical interventions directed towards improving one’s physical appearance. Within our cosmetic treatments, you’ll find options such as blepharoplasty, Botox injections, trauma and reconstructive surgery, and various other enhancements tailored to individual preferences and needs.
  • Glaucoma Treatment – Glaucoma treatment aims to manage intraocular pressure and prevent optic nerve damage, which can lead to vision loss. Treatment options include prescription eye drops, laser therapy, and surgical procedures such as trabeculectomy or minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), all designed to preserve vision and slow the progression of the disease.
  • Dry Eye – Treating dry eyes involves addressing symptoms and enhancing tear production and quality for improved eye comfort and health. Methods range from using artificial tears, prescription medications, and lifestyle modifications such as employing humidifiers or practicing blinking exercises. In more severe instances, interventions like punctal plugs or intense pulsed light therapy may be considered.
  • General Eye Exams – Eye exams, conducted by optometrists or ophthalmologists, are thorough evaluations that assess vision, screen for eye diseases, and ensure overall eye health. These examinations commonly include tests for visual acuity, intraocular pressure, peripheral vision, and examinations of the retina and optic nerve, facilitating early detection and treatment of any ocular issues.
